Still in Swindon, day... I've lost count.

Hello my lovely 1 reader of my blog! (Haha :D)
So, it's Sunday afternoon (almost dinnertime, even) and I'm sitting in front of my lovely Maccy, trying to figure out what to write here. Well, so far so good, I dare say.
Yesterday, I got my first piece of mail to my new Swindon address :D it was wicked awesome. It was only my bank debit card (remember earlier when I said I was now a costumer of Lloyds?) - well, let's just say they send their debit cards wicked fast. (this was written a few days ago, and the actual blog starts two lines down!)

So: Start of Actual Blog:
I've just come home from my first date in Britain (HAH, it sounds a bit stupid really ;D) and I'm lying in my absolutely wonderful bed with my amazing flatmate next to me (who, by the way, is the only reader of my blog as far as I know). I started the date by doing the typical thing you're not supposed to do at a date - get a bit drunk. It's a bad idea, always a bad idea!
Actually, the date was actually a double date, which did calm me down a bit (I was terrified, honestly!), and me, my flatmate and our dates went to this Mexican restaurant. The original idea was to go for Tapas, however, there were no tables at Los Gatos. I must say, I was pretty glad I was with people who knows Swindon very well at that exact moment (but hey - at least it didn't rain ;) haha).
Today was pissing with rain though. I blaim the Belgium National Day for the crap weather. ;)

Flatmate's hair is wicked - I dyed it blue for her, which looks really cool! Actually, scrap that! Flatmate is wicked awesome in general ;) In fact, flatmate is so wicked awesome that I'm even allowing her to eat chocolate mousse in my bed ;)

Anyway, I'm totally lacking imagination, so therefore I'm going to bed being really happy! ;)

Goodnight! :D'

PS: In case you wondered where the photos from this trip are - They'll be uploaded tomorrow as soon as I get back to Dinamarca! ;) Woops, I meant Denmark! ;)

Swindon day... 3 and 4

Hello!

I am going to divide two days into this blog..... well... because I'm lazy basically.

16th July 2009
So, I've arrived in Swindon, which is a very lovely town.  It's quite small, but quite big at the same time, which is lovely. Tons of pubs (which you would expect from an English town), loads of nature and parks, friendly people and I could go on forever (however, I won't).

Today, I've been really busy (along with yesterday) so I haven't really had time to update my blog, but right now, Virginie is reading The Sun, so I thought I might update my blog at the same time (cool, yeah?). I've been really busy applying for jobs and I've even created my own bank account here in England at Loyds (did I spell it right?) and hopefully, I'll get my debit card with £6 (I know it's not a lot of money, however, it's my new bank card :D I think it's cool, anyway.

Virginie just came back from the local shop bringing Salt and Vinegar crisps (they are the best, I swear) and milk, and before we went home, we bought coffees at Costa where I got this huge Coffee Mocha for £2.70. I prefer Costa to Starbucks - Costa is cheaper, and I think they make better coffee. Virginie got two espressos and didn't get ill from it. Hooray for that really! Now I know where to take her for coffee :)

But yeah, rest of the day is going to be pretty quiet!

17th July 2008
Day four went pretty quiet, esp. because it was pissing down with rain and I had decided to take a day off in job-hunting. So, it was a pretty relaxing day in all senses, really. I slept most of the day away - the rain wasn't exactly inviting you to go outside. But then I had time to read in my book and being a real slob on the couch with my Macbook ;)

I had totally forgotten that we were supposed to go to the pub with Virginie's friend Milo (who's an mad, Irish guy, but he's extremely cool) and the inside of my head went like: "Omg... going to the pub? :o I had forgotten that! Why had I forgotten that? I never forget things like that! :o"
So, we went cooking (chilli nachos w. home-made guacamole), made ourselves ready (I tried making a great make-up on Virginie [Virginie, if you didn't like it, you can tell me, you know ;)]) and went to a pub called The Bee-Hive (I had kind of expected to see Amy Winehouse there - with a pub named like that) to drink a few pints. It was the first time I met Milo (but I had heard quite a deal about him) and you know what? Milo is an absolutely amazing guy! I can't wait to get to know him better.

Then we went to The Vic (another pub where there was a horrible live band). Absolutely amazing vibe there, but... I'm more for the smaller pubs. And yeah... that's all I have to say about The Vic ;) (Although, Virginie re-confirmed me about how cute she is whilst drunk.)

And I think that's all for now really! Byye :D

Oh my god!

Oh dear. I love travelling (I do... honestly), however, I hate flying. The first kicks of fear for the aeroplane has just started, so I'm battling the fear with tons of cigarettes (uhm... okay with two cigarettes). I did promise myself to quit, but I've just been too weak. Meeh :(
And in case you wondered where I'm going to? I'm going home... well, almost, anyway. Swindon isn't my home quite yet (however, I feel it is :P).

I'm excited about my new room, especially because it's going to be my home for the next 5 to 10 years. Emotions about it right now: Strange, Excited, Nervous, Happy, Scared. However, nervous fills the most right now.

I told my friend Mia that I was leaving for good and her reaction was: "Why? Don't you love me anymore?"
Although I know she meant well, it was unexpected. But my God, was that an overreaction or what? However it made me think how my friends here in Denmark is going to react to the fact that I'm actually moving away. I've told six of my friends
so far, and except from Mia, they have been taking it nicely (one even said that he was expecting it). But how will the rest react?

Saturday, I saw Britney Spears live. It was amazing! I will definitely see her again.
And to end today's blog, I'm posting this picture:

I'm in love

I'm in love! I want one!

Still preparing for England

Hey there, day 2 of my blog, and welcome to you all!

I woke up rather late today, so unfortunately, not so much preparation as I would have wished. I was supposed to call the British Embassy today, but after I had called an overseas moving company called Move It, I decided not to. I'm a bit ill at the moment and it has really fucked up my voice, so when the guy from Move It started laughing at me when I was talking, I decided to go to the British Embassy tomorrow, instead of just calling them (Can you even do that?)
Apparently, it's going to cost me 3000 DKK (£341.91) to move a couple of boxes with them. No thank you.

Tomorrow will be rather hectic: I have to buy my flight ticket for my trip to my future home in the airport, meet up with my mate, get a new sim card for my phone, find cd holder for my cd collection, figure out how to change your address from Denmark to England, do my laundry, move my some of my stuff to my friend Emiel's place, do more laundry, write job applications and so forth... I suppose you get the drill ;)

My biggest fear is actually that I won't get a job to start with, and I'm slowly starting to think of what consequences moving will have. ... Okay, I'm not, actually... ;)

See you all,
Arie Ceekay!

Preparations for England, day Ivelostcount.

Hey all of you out there, and welcome to my first ever blogging experience ever. I must therefore excuse if my first blog is slightly shit (I hope it isn't tho).
I decided to make this blog because my friend wanted to know what I was up to. You see, I'm moving to England the 1st of September, and because he was going to miss me (or so he says ;) haha), he suggested me to start a blog. In that way, he knows what I'm up to, and he can still be a part of my life - even from a distance. :)

So, I know it says Preparations for England in my title, but honestly, I haven't been doing that much preparations as I perhaps should have - my preparations today has been: Informing my boss that I am moving 1st of September, thought about what I don't need with me and talking to my flatmate about my room (apparently, I'm getting a build-in wardrobe - it'll be just like a walk-in closet!), the apartment, the town in which I'm about to live in and well... food.
Honestly, it was Sunday, so there wasn't much preparation I could do. However, I will do much more preparations tomorrow.

Apparently, my friend and I have decided to quit smoking around the same time. Which is good, actually, because smoking is bad for ... well, practically everything, and it's really expensive. My sister and I came to the conclusion that I smoke for about 14 quid week (or was it a month - no, i think it was a week, actually), and for those 14 quid that I won't smoke up, I can get really great sushi - now, that's a priority to care for, isn't it?
At the same time, I really have to get enough money just for moving - moving vs. smoking? I honestly think moving wins big time.'
I have started to think about (for once, actually) what a big change this is for my life - however, it's a change I really want to happen. England has always been my favourite country of all time and ever since I was 10 , I knew I wanted to move there. So, yeah... big changes are coming up. And I can't wait for 1st of September.
